What is Human Growth Hormone, and what does it do?
Human growth hormone (HGH) can do seemingly amazing things for your body. In short, HGH acts as an age reversal system within your body, thus giving you attributes that you only had in years past.
By definition, HGH is a peptide hormone that is secreted by the anterior pituitary gland within the human brain. HGH enhances tissue growth by stimulating protein formations.
In laymen’s terms, human growth hormone is a natural hormone produced within the human body. Human growth hormone is considered a key hormone, as it controls a large amount of functions in the body. HGH is what gives us our vitality, our youth, our energy, and all of the health and physical benefits that we have as youth, which degrade as the years go by.
In the New England Journal of Medicine, Dr. Daniel Rudman’s study noted HGH’s remarkable ability to reverse the negative effects of aging on the human body.
Due to his research efforts, Dr. Rudman was allowed to conduct a further study, which studied the effects of HGH on a group of overweight men between the ages of 61 and 80.
The men in the study were instructed not to change their personal eating habits, exercise routines, or smoking habits (if any). By the end of the study, the test subjects had an average of 14% fat loss and an average gain of 8.8% in lean muscle mass. Some subjects also had an increase in localized bone density, as well as reportedly firmer skin.
In children, HGH is produced much more readily than in adults or the elderly. Once we get to our late 20’s, the HGH production in our body starts to slow, and this is what causes us to progressively age and lose our health and “youth”.
When we are young, HGH is what causes our bodies to grow and develop. Then when we get to our teenage years, we get introduced to testosterone or estrogen, which causes puberty. Once we hit our late 20’s, our bodies stop producing these hormones, and thus we naturally decline. This hormone decline is what causes common middle-age symptoms, such as general aging signs, bone deterioration, muscle and organ deterioration, and a decline in mental function.
